Halo Holder
You had my face since your first paparazzi shoot. I was told you were interested by all those around you, but you let them do the talking. I still look at your "coming home" outfit and wanna rep the one curious walrus with two big teef crew. I wanted to trip you out with a deep dish pizza after years of that school lunch junk. I saw myself catching you with a satchel of that skunk and having to show you how we did it in my day... Now, you in His arms and I hope they let you hold my halo down for me. Love you Rico.
Alley ways!
So, it has been two days since someone decided to wander into my garage and steal the radio out the dash. As for now, I'll be hoping to see someone looking in its direction for too long.
Oh, and there is a Wildwood Lemon-Lime, plug plug.

Out n about
I had some southsiders up by the house and they definitely were in the mood for some 2AM mexican food. It went down.
Slay the Dragon
Entitlement.
Throughout my life's path, I have had one obstacle that has impeded my success: entitlement.
I always scored in the 95%+ in those state tests and never felt pressured by scholastic endeavors. When the class time was worth more than the iPod I was listening to in said class, I was way too caught up in my entitlement phase. I look back and wish I could punch myself in the throat, but that's another day hah.
Now that I have given my half to the life that is the amazing aware Amer RICO, I feel like I should at least be able to see him, not whenever I please, but at least when it can be managed. I will not point any fingers and not place any blame, because life comes with angles we don't expect, but I give my word I have and am trying with all the resources available.
On another note, my mother's parents will be needing a ride out to Columbus, Ohio. I am a bit excited to drive and see my mother after about two years, but I am not looking forward to the backseat driving of my grandfather. I love him for his intuitive brilliance, but I'll put dollars to donuts that my contacts will beat his glasses. Love ya Moses. Honestly, I'd love to use that time to get a nice chronicled recording of most memories they have. I spent a lot of time with my mother's parents a lot when I was younger for church and what not, but never asked too much. I regret that.
I am entitled only to the moment.

Stroll Down Memory Lane
The first TSD recording was actually done on in such a wild fashion.
My fellow duelist, X, and I were meeting up every week or so to have cyphas at my house. We were in such a symbiotic mode when any beat came on, we felt noone could touch us. One day at Walter Payton College Prep, we were alerted to an avenue for us to display our lyrical presence. THAT night, we went to my house and tried to find a beat that suited us. X had to leave shortly after we got to my house, but we picked out one beat we wanted to "work" with. The next day at school, we were told we had to have our performance song ready to submit to the coordinators of the show and to to be ready to perform for a rehearsal. We knew we had little time to complete our song and to be show ready. We decided to come to the show in classically "Chi" hip-hop fashion, with airbrushed shirts and caps. The only place I knew that offered respectable work at a day's notice was the Mega Mall near Fullerton and Milwaukee. As the school day ended, we were en route to the Mega Mall on the CTA. Since X had his laptop, we had the chance to work on our song. With the always dynamic background noise of a CTA bus, we were already behind the eight-ball in a sense. We both laid the lyrics we had prepared in one take and "THE SHUT DOWN" is history. We went out the next day at school with one rehearsal and blew the audience away.
The day after the performance, we sat down and worked together to put into the vaults, a rudimentary piece called, "Comin From the Bassment". In this song, are well directed references to characters from the Walter Payton College Prep Chronicles 2001-2005 and we later performeed this track at another show at the school.

Arthur John Johnson has been introduced to me as one of my heroic figures. Who do you know that could beat down a white man, travel with a white woman, and do it all with gold fronts during the time of recurrent lynchings?
True Individual
On another note, it was beautiful out yesterday and seems to be wonderfully sunny out. I will walk my way out and start my jog.
If you know you love to do something, don't deny yourself.
Props to CBZ for the picture

I loved her fancy underwear, sit behind her every year, waiting for the chance to get to tell her I'm the one she should be with... Prom Queen... Prom Queen...
The Shut Down's Music
I wish I knew why some people won't accept I can't afford to try and control them.
The world gives me quite enough to keep me busy.

For now, I look to the microphone to make it right.
